MatrixOne Powers New Customer Portal for Tower Semiconductor
MatrixOne's Synchronicity(R) Publisher Suite(TM) Provides Tower
with the Ability to Manage, Catalogue and Distribute IP Across Global
Enterprise and Beyond
ANAHEIM, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—June 14, 2005—
MatrixOne, Inc. (NASDAQ: MONEE), a leading provider of
collaborative product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions for the
value chain(TM), today announced at DAC 2005 that Tower Semiconductor
Ltd. has implemented MatrixOne's Synchronicity(R) Publisher Suite(R)
with IP Gear(TM). The solution provides the backbone for Tower's new
corporate portal, dubbed "eTower," which will enable the company to
efficiently reuse valuable intellectual property (IP) information and
enhance collaboration, internally and externally, throughout the
product development process.
Like many of its industry counterparts, Tower is faced with the
increasing pressures of complex semiconductor design, shortened
product lifecycles and ultra-specific customer requirements. To ensure
Tower's continued innovation and world-class customer service in the
specialized foundry space, the company recognized the need for a
secure Web-based solution to minimize design chain latency and give
customers real-time access to the latest IP data.
"With an increasing number of systems storing valuable data, the
MatrixOne solution creates a single repository that meets our very
specific needs for security and support," said Omer Yanai, Director of
Business Operations of Tower. "The solution will provide key benefits
such as an increase in output, customer satisfaction and IP re-use
throughout the organization."
MatrixOne's Synchronicity Publisher Suite with IP Gear bundles IP
Gear Catalog(TM) and the IP Gear Helpdesk(TM) to form a complete
solution to manage, distribute and support IP. The IP Gear Catalog is
a server that organizes and dynamically presents Web pages of relevant
IP information. The IP Gear Helpdesk is a rich support system with
integrated issue tracking and a knowledge base of legacy solutions and
information.
"Tower represents continued momentum for MatrixOne as electronics
companies leverage solutions that enable them to handle the massive
amounts of design data they must make available to a number of
constituents," said Fabrice Mekersi, sales director for global
electronics, EMEA, of MatrixOne. "MatrixOne's Synchronicity Publisher
Suite with IP Gear is one of the many tools we offer to provide users
with reliable information and improved collaboration throughout the
product design cycle."
